Monitor biological oxygen consumption & evolution

Sample range: 1 to 8 mL
Two displays
Two recorder outputs

Hundreds of researchers have used this method to study the oxygen metabolism of bacteria, yeasts, cell fractions and for pharmacological experiments.

Measure in air or oxygen

Each channel has a 0.7 volt plateau test and the recorder outputs let you plot the differential of the two channels or each individually. You select measurement in air or oxygen. For samples from 3 to 8 mL, use a Standard Bath. You also may modify a standard bath to accept smaller samples of about 1 mL with the Micro Adaptor Kit.

Specifications Monitoring system

Consumption rate range: 7 to 300 µL of oxygen per hour in air-saturated solutions; 35 to 1,500 µL of oxygen per hour in oxygen-saturated solutions.

Current range: Adjustable to 100.0% with inputs from 5.9 nanoamps to 2.8 microamps.

Sample size: Standard Bath, 3 to 8 mL; Micro Adaptor Kit, 1 mL.

Stability: 0.5% typical; 1% of full scale per hour maximum.

Stabilization time: 60 seconds maximum with probe and solution at operating temperature.

Response time: 90% of final reading in approximately 10 seconds when switched from nitrogen to air.

Oxygen leak rate: Less than 1% of full scale in 15 minutes of operation at 50% saturation or more.

Stirring speed: 480 rpm

Sample temperature range: 5 to 40°C

Temperature stability: For maximum accuracy, the bath must be controlled to ±0.02°C.

Channels: Two channels, independently operated, displayed and recorded.

Displays: Two 3½-digit LCDs, ½" high.

Power: 115 VAC ±10%, 60 Hz or 230 VAC ±10%, 50 Hz

Recorder output: 0 to 2 volts full scale with 20K ohms minimum input impedance. Output tracks displays within ±0.2% of full scale. Differential output equals Channel 1 minus channel 2, ±0.4% of full scale.

EMC: Compliance with US FCC emanation rules (47 CFR part 15 subpart J), as applicable, has been verified for this product for class A and class B environments.

Size: 15.8 x 28.5 x 22 cm, 2.4 kg
